About Mega Millions
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 PM Eastern Time.
To play, select five numbers from 1 to 70 for the white balls, and one number from 1 to 25 for the gold Mega Ball. The jackpot starts at $20 million and rolls over if there is no winner. The overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 24.
Mega Millions Megaplier
For an additional $1 per play, the Megaplier option multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x. This can turn a $1,000,000 Match 5 prize into $5,000,000 with the 5x Megaplier.
